is a Tagalog word that means ≈
spirit, thought, consciousness.


Jenn Dela Cruz (she/they/siya) is the founder of and therapist at Diwa Therapy, a mental health private practice based in Seattle that provides telehealth sessions for folks throughout Washington state.

Diwa Therapy offers psychotherapy for individuals ages 13 and up, highlighting folks who would like support in navigating:

  • the Filipinx/Asian-American diasporic experience

  • impacts of systemic and institutional barriers

  • family of origin; generational and family trauma

  • parental, caregiver, mother wound

  • childhood abuse & neglect

  • complex and acute trauma

  • gender-based violence (domestic violence, intimate partner violence, physical/sexual assault)

  • secondary trauma, burnout, moral injury from doing frontline work

  • major life transitions

  • grief & loss

  • Jenn can also provide a gender care assessment and letter of support for folks seeking gender affirming procedures, often required by insurance companies and some surgeons, through MEND.
